This film is an adaptation of the award-winning same named novel about a military police officer investigating the deaths of numerous child murders in Stalin-era Soviet Union. As an added bonus, the L-Train and Mr. Two-Frames review Beyond the Reach starring Michael Douglas(spoilers from 21:48-28:05) and Danny Collins starring Al Pacino. Tune in to this jam packed show.

Wee LaF for April 17 Weekend - LaF #35

LaF is discussing three films on this Weekend Entertainment Edition of LaF. The biggest release of the weekend is the sequel Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 which stars Kevin James reprising the titular role after six long years. For the horror fans, MTV is releasing the supernatural thriller Unfriended, which stars a bunch of scared teenagers being haunted in a chat room. Lastly, in limited release is Child 44 starring Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman. This thriller about a Stalin-era military police officer's investigation into a series of child murders is one of the L-Train's most eagerly anticipated films of the Spring.
